Thanks to all those who turned up to the 2012 festival, was a rainy, misty day but this did not dampen anyone’s enthusiasm!
Of course having all the exhibitors inside helped and the food stall whilst outside, were still under cover. And the Porter Pie and sandwich stand inside was a big hit again.
All the expression sessions were well attended with exhibitors having their chance to talk about their products. The Asian Scallops matched with Sydney Cider session and Beer Education with Porter Pie session were standouts.
Mudgee Brewing collected most tasting tokens on the day, followed by Two Birds and Sydney Brewery (formally known as Schwartz).
Of course Dr Jerry Schwartz is still the man behind the Festival and owns the Fairmont, who did their usual fine job with catering and providing superior accommodation.
The RFS Blue Mountains Division will receive the proceeds of the raffle but their sausage sizzle was a bit of a fizzle due to the rain!
Anyway, great fun was had by all and we will plan for bigger event next year and remember; the show will go on rain, hail or shine!
